On to the second shoot of the afternoon and up to Waukesha for Jessica & Dennis... thankfully we didn't reschedule based on the torrential down pour that never happened... starting off with a guest appearance from a rather dapper dog who took his modelling duties very seriously, he then watched his parents from a distance under guidance from Dennis' sister as we navigated the 'big hill', which is no mean feat at the best of times, least of all when recovering from a broken foot and torn toe ligaments.. however both of these guys were boot-free and more than happy to take the man-handling brief seriously... Heading back to one of my favourite spots, the KM in Eagle (no sitting on a snake this time, just ants) with Marisa & Mike didn't have the most comfortable start trekking through the mosquito-infested forest, who only took a break in the blazing sun, but it's surprising how being incredibly itchy and sweaty can translate into a great session, much the same as Mike's reluctance to model immediately after a long car ride from up north can translate into some great images, but how comfortable these guys are together proved to be the thing that matters... Returning to Klode Park after a hiatus for Natalie & Brett's beach session replete with cowboy boots and blonde gorgeousness... after a brief run-in with Lake Michigan's seemingly unpredictable tide, the rest of the shoot was mercifully dry and no sand ended up where it shouldn't... along the beach, past the delinquents with spray paint before putting on a modelling show for onlookers, you guys will be blessed to see these guys again in a few short months... Gosh, I could have shot these guys with a potato and they still would have looked gorgeous... after giving their planner a brief heart attack after showing up late to get strapped in, it was full steam ahead with some dubious suit options from the guys, and off to Gesu for the formalities with a stop for some kick-assery with their awesome bridal army in the Fifth Ward (complete with guys in lingerie and a rail track team) and photobombing a few other weddings while scaling the lakeshore rocks in heels and knickers/plus fours before ending up at the equally sumptuous Wisconsin Club for a party of epic proportions.. Off down the road to the second shoot of the evening to one of my favourite spots for the gorgeous Lory and Kegan where the conversation began with the bloating habits of vegetables and with Kegan's make up (the two were unrelated) then navigated around the beautiful National warehouse...climbed on a few loading docks, around semi-trailers, miniature and wire fences and avoided another shoot-in-progress before coming face-to-face with a questionable pack of Fifth Ward dogs including a really feisty little Maltese who wasn't the slightest bit impressed with what was going on... The first of a Fifth Ward double header kicked off with Ashley & Ross by the remainder of Tom Selek's head on a wall with the opening conversations covering everything from Blades of Glory to Moobs before wandering around the back of the warehouse through a wind tunnel to a spot that no longer exists.. not to be deterred, we found a loading dock and photo-bombed a rap video for 10 minutes, waited for a train that only teased before finishing off in a great alley way with a door 20ft off the ground... thank fully not long to wait to see these guys again... Kicking off downtown after colonizing a salon for themselves, Sarah threw on her dress and we headed off to the church with a quick stop off on the KK river parkway for a warp speed first look with Mike... jitters calmed, the church soon packed to capacity it was onwards and upwards to being married in Serbian Orthodox style... a extensively orchestrated family formals session later a trolley-ride back downtown for a session at the MAM where had every kind of weather in the space of 15 minutes before heading off to the reception with a few hundred of their nearest and dearest which made for possibly the fastest swarmed dancefloor in Wisconsin's history...
