Last hurrah of the weekend was down by the lakefront for Cindy and Dave who at first were rained out, then steamed out last weekend and were rewarded for their patience with not only a perfect late summer evening, but a continued soundtrack from Mexican Fiesta taking place a couple of hundred yards away. Which was nice. Kind of. What was nice however was getting to spend some time with these guys and their impeccably well-behaved furry entourage... plenty of scrambling over rocks, walking in large circles and lots of sitting and leaning while they got their GQ on, in very impressive fashion... Final run of the weekend began in the fifth ward with the lovely Abby & Dan, in town for the weekend from out in VA, so naturally a derelict warehouse was a great place to start..easing past in the stolen bike in the bushes and the ..ahem.. 'decorations' on the loading dock they hit their stride and were rewarded with a train that went faster than 3mph for me, a quick trip into an alleyway before heading over to the HD museum for more GQ'ing, and off to dinner to celebrate..thankfully not too long to wait to see these guys again!.. After a quick tour of the sub-division and a couple of calls, we finally arrived at the gorgeous home of the gorgeous-er Heavin & Josh, just ahead of a crowd of their nearest and sunglasses-clad family and friends to watch them tie the knot under a beautiful, cloudless late summer sky.. a signed license later, we were off to the fields for some GQ then back to the tent, the beer, food and cupcakes for a run on, relaxed night of games, inflatable slides, lawn games, dancing and bonfires... Kicking off the Big Weekend with the lovely Bailey & Austin on a road tour down from Stevens Point with a few friends, taking over the sumptuous Wisconsin Club, which is a step-up from the broken down old warehouse where we last saw them, a mop and some choice graffiti.. you know what they say, a strong bridal couple don' need no bridal party, and so it was for these guys, instead putting mom and dad up on the stage.. after a little beautifying, a quick buzz and shape up for the wedding mohawk, it was off around Milwaukee before coming back to get hitched and drink a whole lot to the sound of a big ol' band.. hopefully those bloodies are going down well this morning and Austin doesn't make too many weird friends at the bar... There's nothing like a big K-Town Italian wedding... and this was nothing like a big K-Town Italian wedding. It was bigger. And better. And I can honestly say I've never had to hustle so hard for so long and not regret doing it. At all. Back again with the lovely Cicchini clan for the gorgeous Rachel and Nate...they, along with their considerable Bridal Army (at over 30 people total, bigger than some weddings I've done) that as the day went on seemed to get bigger and better made it completely unforgettable and incredible sweaty fun, and I was just hired help.. I can't imagine it was anything short of perfect for everyone else there.. from the heartfelt personal touches that were oh so genuine, to the most extravagant Blues Brothers bridal party entrance, it was everything these guys so richly deserved.. Off to Richfield to meet up with the lovely Megan and Jon in an otherwise deserted park..after a quick dowsing in bug spray to avoid the mosquito rout so itchily burned into my memory, things kicked off on a good note with Megan's assessment of Jon's modelling skills.. Yeti-like I think the decision was, then moved onto discussing Butt commission and things just got weirder from there as we tromped through the spiky trees, deadly weeds and grassland.. not too long to wait to see these guys again! After a rain/disgustingly hot weather check, it was out to Lapham Peak for the lovely Kayla & Greg on Monday night.. after a quick hosing of mosquito spray, a change of shoes and a quick briefing on the $5 value menu we sat on a few logs, stood in a lot of grass, scaled the observation tower and chatted casually about walking cats, firing people, bushy beards and Greg's awesome knees...

Welp, if I'm going to haul up to Sheboygan, it might as well be a 90 degree sweat box and might as well be for the glorious Sabrina and Tyler and their wonderful family and Bridal Army... so it was, as they took over The Bull and tied the knot in the sweltering heat tempered with plenty of beer, a few tears and a lot of selfy-sticks..a few days respite, and they'll be off on their *6 month* honeymoon.. yep.. quit their jobs and they're off to South America to knock on doors and offer to do laundry..when these guys do something, they do it for realz, as a quick 8 minute glimpse into their gorgeous wedding will show you.. Off to picturesque Stallis to the cutest little church for the gorgeous Brittany & Justin, where hang man was played, champagne was pounded and beer flowed on the church steps before the little church that could was crammed to capacity with loving friends and family for a warp speed ceremony... then off to the lake front to climb on rocks and stand in bushes before heading out to the boonies and my neck of the woods for lazy sun-bathed reception and beautiful stories of Justin's love for playing with his mom's hair.. though she did catch the bouquet as a reward for that gem, so it was well earned.. sorry for making you miss Taylor Swift while we were out shooting B.. hopefully you got a replay...
