Off to a sunny Lakeshore Park for the gorgeous Mandy & Chris for a tour of the lake front.. Let's be real here people.. I could have shot these guys with a potato standing in front of a burning dumpster and they still would have looked amazing, so it was an exceptionally easy shoot for me.. and in true Billy Mays fashion, "But wait! There's more!", because not only are they face-meltingly beautiful, but more importantly were an absolute blast to be around...can't wait for their wedding in a few short weeks... Mandy & Chris. Off to Grant Park for the lovely Angela & Jake (along with Duke and his dogsitters) for a tour of the beach and woods... starting on the ever-fragrant lake front, the biting flies were balanced by the moody skies, and after breaking them in, it was off into the trees for a staircase workout and some humidity and a chance meeting with a curiously loud dog owner whose $2500 sharpei may or may not still be alive as you read this. Inquiring minds. A few bridges and some PDA later with a couple of visits to the bluffs and it was all over before the heavens opened... looking forward to seeing these guys again in November.. So in answer to your question - Yes. Yes, these guys were exactly as much fun as they look. Actually funner. So originally we were supposed to hook up with the lovely Corrin & Kevin down at Bradford Beach, but given the crazy overcrowding and great masses of Milwaukee's unwashed, we diverted over to the Third Ward.. laughs were had, clothes were changed, heavy bags were carried, strangers from Chicago were harassed into joining a picture, walk signs were waited for and AC units were everywhere, finally finishing up with fireworks. Literally. Thanks Walgreens. Corrin & Kevin. Engaged. from Steve Bowman on Vimeo.
Rounding out the weekend with the lovely Allysa & Alex down by the Pabst.. it didn't take long to channel their inner GQ.. some sitting, standing and a lot of man-handling later, we dodged a few cars in the road, were peeped on through the blinds and managed not to break the old door, then headed into the parking garage, for a ride up top in the elevator complete with a mystery substance in the corner for some of the best light of the year and best views of the city... Rounding off the day with the lovely Kelly & Patrick, up from Florida for wedding activities... after striking out with weather in January, I'd been looking forward to seeing them for real...with two locations planned, it was a warp speed tour of the Art Museum (which helped keep Kelly from slipping into hypothermia in the breeze) before heading off to Lakefront Brewery.. or at least we did.. they headed off somewhere different.. a couple of calls later and we hooked up at Rock Bottom's to wrap up on the riverwalk... trespassed on a few docks, went into an alley more for the smell than photographic opportunities, took a picture with the Fonz... you know.. the usual...
