After a bit of rescheduling we finally managed to hook up with the lovely Andrea & Chris, and it was definitely worth the wait for the sunset tour of Grant Park, though it probably seemed pretty sedate after a morning at the renaissance fair.. nevertheless, much fun was had with plenty of talk about whiskey, some gaming, nobody biffed it on the broken bridge and before we knew it we were on the beach where things went swimmingly until random kids started foiling every. single. shot...then finally back up to the bluff for the final round and goodbyes.. thankfully only until October when we'll be hanging with them again... Off to Menomonee Falls for the lovely Kim & Justin... as a veteran of a couple of wedding parties, I had high expectations which were beyond surpassed.. and yes, the incessant laughter in the shots is a pretty good indication of how this one went. So. Much. Laughing. Despite the cloud of mosquitoes (that may or may not have been down to Neil's gas-powered bug repellent) and roving partially dressed Joe Public riding through puddles, they kept up their GQ until we finally made it onto 'The Rock' at which point we started bribing the small children to risk life and limb with their diving entertainment... of course the crowning glory was the fact that someone finally got one of my Mallrats references...well played Justin..well played.. Another trip to Milwaukee for the the gorgeous Lindsey & Ben... love these guys so much we picked them up at their door.. well, nearly.. a quick tour of the neighbourhood after a healthy dose of loading docks and cream brick, and it was off over the 6th Street bridge to the HD museum for part deux.. after the briefing on what lies to tell security (and a near miss with them) we commenced the circuit, building a steady case (involving lawn sprinklers) if we were indeed stopped..another half an hour of GQ and it was all over.. cant wait to see these two again in October... Off to a sunny Lakeshore Park for the gorgeous Mandy & Chris for a tour of the lake front.. Let's be real here people.. I could have shot these guys with a potato standing in front of a burning dumpster and they still would have looked amazing, so it was an exceptionally easy shoot for me.. and in true Billy Mays fashion, "But wait! There's more!", because not only are they face-meltingly beautiful, but more importantly were an absolute blast to be around...can't wait for their wedding in a few short weeks... Mandy & Chris. Off to Grant Park for the lovely Angela & Jake (along with Duke and his dogsitters) for a tour of the beach and woods... starting on the ever-fragrant lake front, the biting flies were balanced by the moody skies, and after breaking them in, it was off into the trees for a staircase workout and some humidity and a chance meeting with a curiously loud dog owner whose $2500 sharpei may or may not still be alive as you read this. Inquiring minds. A few bridges and some PDA later with a couple of visits to the bluffs and it was all over before the heavens opened... looking forward to seeing these guys again in November..
